Q: What does my child need to do to get in?
The first step to becoming a student at the Academy of Sport, Health and Education is to speak with ASHE's Program Coordinator Phillip Guthrie. From here, an interview will be organised whereby the prospective student and/or family member/s can come into the academy or speak over the phone about the study options available and the criteria required for the different course options.
Q: Is ASHE a safe place?
The Academy of Sport, Health and Education prides itself on its ability to provide students, staff and visitors with a safe and culturally appropriate environment for providing education. Students are given the opportunity to treat ASHE as their home away from home and in that context are expected to treat the facilities, staff and people with the same respect as they would their own family or house.
Trust, respect, passion, family and commitment are all values that ASHE regards highly. ASHE staff also make it their promise that when they say they are going to do something, they do it. It is expected that by staff reflecting these values in themselves, students will do the same.
Any person who feels unsafe while involved in activities with the Academy of Sport, Health and Education should contact an ASHE staff member and voice their concern so that the matter can be dealt with sensitively and be resolved as promptly as possible.
